Craig and Richard took the opportunity in 2013 to step away from RBS. Craig and Richard set up an office in Haywards Heath and have built relationships with a number of estate agents and professionals both locally and in London and have quickly established a book of clients through their customer service and professionalism. In September 2013 Craig & Richard decided the time was right to set up on their own and Wooton & Bean was born.
Craig Bean, Director
Craig is one of the Directors of the company and has over 15 years’ experience in banking and finance. Having started his career at RBS in 1997 he worked in a number of back office roles before becoming part of front line sales team as a customer advisor. Craig was quickly promoted through the ranks to Private Banking where he managed a portfolio of wealthy clients looking after their banking and lending requirements. Craig had a spell in business banking where he built up a knowledge of varying businesses and understanding of accounts. Craig also arranged finance for his business customers including Asset finance, Invoice finance, and property finance. He was also involved in a number of development projects in a busy Brighton Market.
Craig moved with the Bank to London in 2006 where he became a business development manager for Private Banking. He quickly adapted to his new surroundings building up a book of introducers and generating a multi-million pound book of lending that was varied in complexities. This move has been pivotal in Craig’s carer, building a name for himself amongst some of London’s most prestigious mortgage brokerages for his knowledge and ability to structure a deal through one of the toughest periods our economy has seen.
Craig’s specialist areas include – Residential mortgages, Bridging, commercial and Development finance.
Richard Wooton, Director
Richard is one of the Directors of the company and has over 18 years’ experience in banking and finance. Having started his career at RBS in 1997 he worked in a number of back office roles before becoming part of front line sales team as a customer advisor. Richard became mortgage qualified in 2001 and dealt with mortgages within RBS Private Banking along with specialist lending including Bridging and Second Charge finance. Richard became a Business Development Manager in 2004 for Private Banking dealing with some of London’s top brokerage firms.
Richard’s specialist areas include - Residential mortgages, BTL mortgages and portfolios, Bridging, Specialist high value mortgages.
Josh Sisley, Mortgage Advisor
Josh is a mortgage advisor within Wooton & Bean bringing 7 years of customer service and banking experience to the table. Having started his career at RBS, Josh has excelled in the banking industry starting as a cashier working up to a Customer Advisor in the front line sales team running a portfolio of 650 clients as well as branch network clients. During his time at RBS, Josh built up a range of knowledge by advising on a wide range of clients’ needs and lending requirements.
Elliot Beesley, Administrator
Elliot has recently joined Wooton & Bean as an administrator having graduated from Bournemouth University where he studied Finance and Economics. As part of his degree he worked at Charles Stanley Wealth Management as a Branch Assistant where he predominantly dealt with compliance before returning to University to complete the final year of his studies.
Elliot will be working towards his CEMAP qualifications over the coming months and hopes to progress towards becoming an adviser.
Outside of the office Elliot enjoys keeping fit through playing Lacrosse, Football and going to the gym.
Mike Mckernan, Commercial Mortgage Advisor
Mike brings 29 years lending experience with The Royal Bank Of Scotland Plc to his role at Wooton & Bean. Mike prides himself on building relationships with customers and lenders to enable the right match of business services and products whilst providing excellent customer service.
Outside of the office Mike is a keen cyclist and also enjoys travelling.
Aimee Brunton, Administrator
Aimee recently joined Wooton & Bean as an administrator. After going through the mortgage process herself at the end of last year she gained a great interest in the industry and was keen to start a new career persuing this. She has grown passionate about her work during her 8 years of experience in customer services and administration roles. She also enjoys and has a lot of experience in using social media so since starting has become a guru for Wooton & Beans social media pages!
Aimee in time will start working towards gaining her CEMAP qualifications and will eventually become an advisor.
James Smith, Administrator
James Joined Wooton & Bean in Novemeber 2017 Bringing five years' experience in retail banking. Having started his career at Nationwide Building Society, James worked in numerous roles including Cashier, Host and Personal Banking Manager. Moving from Nationwide to Countrywide Mortgage Services, James spent a short spell as a Mortgage and Protection Consultant but moved in Wooton & Bean to build his knowledge and gain experience in the whole of the market mortgage industry.
James joined Wooton & Bean as a Mortgage Administrator and is training towards becoming an Advisor in late 2018.
Outside the office, James enjoys spending time with his family.
Leia Hall, Administrator
Leia joined Wooton & Bean in 2018 as a Mortgage Adminstrator, having been a Senior Sales Negotiator for a well-know local estate agent. She brings with her 9 years of estate agency experience in both residential sales and property management, passing her NFoPP Level 3 Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management with flying colours, she thrives to be knowledgeable in all areas of work under taken. Prior to her time within this sector she worked in retail working her way up to part of the management team accumulating 13+ years of customer service along the way.
Outside the office Leia enjoys swimming, socialising with family and friends and taking her dog out for walks in the Sussex Countryside.
